Fremont Fellowship Hall
Fremont Fellowship Hall is located at 90th and Aurora Avenue North and is nicknamed "The ER (Emergency Room) of AA". They have meetings there daily at 12noon, 5pm, 8pm, 10pm, and often at Midnite on the weekends. There is a coffee shop next door and those new in recovery can 'hang out' with other recovering alcoholics in between the meeting times. If you live in the Seattle area, or are visiting us here in the Pacific Northwest, and you find you have a problem with alcohol, visit Fremont Fellowship Hall of AA (Alcoholics Anonymous).

Spent quite a bit of time at Fremont AA when I first got out of VA.
Meetings all day and a coffee shop next door.
Very egalitarian.
If you are AA tourist it is a must see in Seattle.
The rules?
There are no rules:)
it sure is a sight to see. the freemont hall indeed has no rules like traditional meetings which make this one unique. the resentments held in there are thick enough to cut a knife through. if you want entertainment come and join us and hear our "message".
My first AA meeting was at Fremont Hall on Christmas night in 1981. Back then the Fellowship met in the Fremont district, across from a bar and above a Greek restaurant; members literally passed temptation to walk up the stairs to reach the Fellowship. The people there were encouraging, tolerant, productive members of society navigating their lives through the 12 steps and traditions on a daily basis. Meetings at any time allowed me to make meetings before and after work. I was able to immerse myself in AA culture and had access to double digit sobriety day or night.
Yes, there were "no rules." This sometimes devolved into anarchy, but the members enforce order through the group conscience--if the majority do not engage in side talk, speaking out of turn, etc, the meetings run just like any other 12 step meeting. If the group cares more about welcoming anyone, even those not yet able to comprehend the consequences of their actions, then the meetings can get a bit chaotic.
In actuality, this Fellowship adheres so closely to the 12 traditions and 12 principles that the benefits of making this a daily or weekly practice pay dividends over a lifetime in humility, respect, tolerance and most importantly, the ability to enjoy life as a mature and giving sober person. The generosity of the members are indescribable. Out of towners and new people only need to introduce themselves and in my experience they will greet you with open arms.
One day at a time I will reach 30 years of continuous sobriety next January (2012); being a member of Fremont provided me with many of the most solid building blocks of my sober life. Fremont's members literally saved my life.
I started at the old Fremont back in the early 80`s and I would like people to know that some of the greatest people on this earth have walked thru those doors.
There is a wrench to fit every nut in Fremont. We believe that there is good in everyone and that every person brings something that they only have to the table of life. Also on a Saturday noon meeting you might spot a living Angel! it doesnt get any better than that.
I too sobered up @ Fremont in February of 1982. The last door on a long line of doors trying to get sober. I will celebrate 30 years February 15, 2012!
The cast of people who played a role in my recovery from Fremont is beyond any writers grasp, like Kenny S. used to say, Welcome to Stark Raving Reality!
Thanks AA and especially Fremontsters. Sobriety is awesome, living life and having some semblence of sanity has been the greatest gift ever bestowed upon me.
One Day at a Time, Easy Does It.

Hello, I'm Alicia, and looking for my dad who has been around for quite awhile.. his name is Bill Saul. I don't have his number anymore and want to get in touch with him.. my number is still the same. If this reaches u could u possibly pass a message to him to call me. If u don't know him I would be okay for u to speak about me in meetings to pass it along. Everyone knows him. Thank you for your time :-)
My name is Phill. And yes it is fu Phill A. . I was just looking at our hall in google and saw that Bills daughter posted here and so I called Bill to let him know. Bill got to see his people incuding his daughter during April 2013. He seemed real happy to know that even though it was old news that, someone would take time to pass on the message. I didn't even have to break anyone's annonymity but its good to know that somebody would find time to help. Waveo Dave posted in January 2012 I thought it was funny since this is kind of a last chance communication entity but Dave if you see this HI! ...Phill A.
Allie, I live nearby the hall and know your father. If I see him ill let him know you are trying to contact him. I have his number but it seems like it is disconnected. 2069414532
I live in spokane washington and am heading over this weekend for my sons soccer tourney. My friends who live in seattle as well as friends who have visited freemont have such positive things to say. I look forward to attending this weekend
Desperately looking for JEFFREY BIRD and FERN TREE for my boyfriend Eli G. He needs freemont fellowship (whom he calls his family) to rally around him right now (per his request) and asked me to help find Jeffrey and Fern. Please please ease contact me if you know those two or want to support Eli. Private message me.
There's definitely a diverse crowd at Fremont Fellowship, yet (almost) all of us learn to bond or tolerate each other. It may be campy and noisy at times, but with my campy and noisy head, it seems to be exactly what I need to hear the message.
I'll be celebrating 22 years on December 16,'14.
Thank you for 25 years. You people are my life and my life is awesome.
did you ever find him? I've been trying to email you but you left no way to contact you and your google plus is listed as private so I cannot contact through that either.
I too grew up there in the old hall my mom was Donna G, I was very quiet back than and everyone knew me just as Donna's daughter. My name is Lisa and I was just interested in finding out if anyone remembers my mom
I remember Donna and I remember you lisa. How is your mom? Last I heard from audry she still lives in browning. She was one of the first people to talk to me. I really liked her.
In the mid-80's, my band was frequently playing at a funky Fremont biker bar close to the Fremont Hall. I was early in recovery, and on our breaks I would head across the street and up the stairs for a 15 minute dose of sobriety. Nobody had a problem with that. Sometimes I'd grab a cub of coffee in a styrofoam cup and head back to the gig, put the cup on my amp. A lot of the folks in the tavern had occasion to visit the Hall, and knew where I'd been... 30-some years later, I still have fond memories.
That's lovely
